filter and multiselect on look up

hello every one,

i have one Requirement that when i select the department (example "IT") then the nexy look up show the jobs of "IT"..this look up up working fine but now the scenario is that suppose i chose "IT" department o the next drop down all the jobs come and there i have to select the multiple job...it is possible to do that..because right now i am able to select only one job but the user want to select the multiple job..

for information HR> common > department> department >select any department >click on position > then the job comes 

basically i want to select the multiselect on the "IT" department selection

    A normal lookup is for selecting a value of a field and because you can't put two values into a single field, multi-selection lookup usually makes no sense. If you want more values, you need another tables with 1:n relation and you'll normally model a separate grid or form, not a lookup.

    I say "usually", because it makes sense some cases and it's supported. It's not lookup in the sense of selecting a value of a field (as na alternative to typing or pasting the value) and you need extra code to do something with those values you get.

    Yes, it's possible - open the link in my first reply and read it.

    But if you intend to store the container in database, don't do it - it would be a big mistake. Sorry if it's not your intention; I can only guess if you don't give us enough information.
