Outstanding Checks Report after Bank Reconciliation - Security for the report

Posted on by 340

A user reconciled her Bank Account, but failed to print out the Outstanding Checks Report. When she attempts to print the report again under Reports >> Financial >> Bank Reports >> Outstanding Checks, she receives an error message that she doesn't have security to run the report. What task has to be added to her Accounting Manager Role tp permit printing this report?

If the environment upgraded from a version before the reprint functionality was added in GP 2013 R2, the operation may need to be added.

    Hi Michael-

To add what was said below, I did find the Task ID "TRX_FIN-008*" had these reports already marked if you want to add that task to the users role.  Thanks again!

    Hi Michael-

Thank you for posting your question on the Forums.  I don't see a specific task that would typically already have these marked.  You can see what tasks they have marked for the Accounting Manager Role and then pull up that task in the Security Task Setup Window.  (Under: Administration >> Setup >> System >> Security Tasks)  See if Outstanding Transactions Report & Outstanding Transactions Report- Reprint are marked for that Task ID.  You can see who already has access by printing clicking on the Print Operation Access button in that window as well.  There is a good article out there around this report(and security) as well:

I hope this information is helpful.  Have a great day!
