Nav sp1 classic client not connecting to the server

I was using NAV 2009 SP1 classic client on windows 7 and it worked perfectly but i upgraded my windows to WIN 10 then i tried installing Nav 2009 SP1 classic client on it, i got the error message below while trying to connect to sql

ERROR:MICROSOFT ODBC sql server cannot generate ssp1 context.

please i need your help on how to go about resolving this.

    This is releated hotfix problem please download and install

    Hi, 

    Refer below link. It is related to NAV 2013 but will fix the issue you have in 2009 SP1 as well.

    Another option you have is to use NAV 2009 SP1 without installing. If you copy RTC folder to your C drive and then use finsql client to open up the DB.
