Client cannot download the services metadata

Hello,

Whenever I try to generate a sales order confirmation or post a sales order invoice, I get an error that states:

The client cannot download the services metadata from http://...:8102/DynamicsAx/Services/AxClient?wsdl.  The metadata address of the AOS services is incorrect or the AOS services are down.  Please contact your system administrator.

Does anyone know why I am getting this error?  Or have any idea on how to correct it?

Go to AifService Form in AOT

    Click refresh to update schema

    Generate Full IL

Go to DAT/System administration/Area page/Setup/ Services and Application framework

    Inbound ports

    Reploy AxClient port .

    It will solve your problem

    Hi Huzaifa,

Thanks for the suggestion.  I ran into this error (and several others like it) while generating full IL:

System.OperationCanceledException: AIF service group not activated.  Service group: AxClient.  Error: There is already a listener on IP endpoint 0.0.0.0:8204.  Make sure that you are not trying to use this endpoint multiple times in your application and that there are no other applications listening on this endpoint. ---> System.ServiceModel.AddressAlreadyInUseException: There is already a listener on IP endpoint 0.0.0.0:8204.  Make sure that you are not trying to use this endpoint multiple times in your application and that there are no other applications listening on this endpoint. ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted

Do you have any idea why I'm getting this error?

This worked for me.  I had imported some data from another AX instance which messed up some system tables like the ones that include AIF settings.  I started with a fresh installation DB that hadn't been messed up and everything worked correctly.
