Payroll Check Date Format

Our bank is rejecting payroll checks dated 1/6/2023 as Stale Dated. I have been trying to change the format in Report Writer to no avail. I was able to get the payables check fixed.

We use the "Stub on Top and Bottom - Single Feed" Check Format.

In the toolbox in RW I am opening "Check Date" to open the Field Definition window, and then opening the Data Type Definition window where I have tried to change the keyable length, the format lookup to date_long, and insert string of XX/XX/XXXX in the format definition window. None of which have added leading zeros.

Any help is greatly appreciated as I have to re-issue several checks and run payroll again in 3 days.

    You should use the RW_DateToString function.

    Example:  RW_DateToString(-CheckDate-, "MM/DD/YYYY")

    Where -CheckDate- is your date field

    All Formats...

    ddd                   = day of week as 3 letters

    dddd                 = day of week in full

    N                      = day of year

    NN                   = day of year (padded)

    D                      = day of month

    DD                   = day of month (padded)

    M                     = month of year

    MM                  = month of year (padded)

    mmm                = month of year as 3 letters

    mmmm             = month of year in full

    YY                    = year of date (2 digits)

    YYYY               = year of date (4 digits)

    Thank you for that.

    I did some digging and read that the local PC’s date format is where Dynamic pulls from so I changed the PC’s short date format in the region settings under time and date from X/X/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX and that seems to have done the trick.

    Does what you posted above override any local PC settings? May be worth while to do in RW to avoid any future issues..
