Is there a way to create a threshold table using dataverse for the IoT devices in dynamics 365?

Hi. I am new to dynamics 365 field service, and I have just learned the application Azure IoT hub that connects the IoT devices.

As I followed through the documentation in Microsoft, I was able to simulate the connected devices created in IoT devices and produce IoT alerts using the uploaded JSON file "devicerules". I was then told to create a threshold table in Dataverse for the IoT devices instead of using the JSON file that is mentioned in the documentation.

Is this possible? I couldn't find any relevant sources, links, or guide for this.

Please help.
