Hi All,
I have questions on Removing users from D365Fo once they resigns.1. If we remove the user from the system will it still keep User Account (name) reference to the Transactons, so we can use it for a future audit?2. will same time it will clear Telemetry ID from the system?3. from the license point of view Only disabling accounts from Azure AD won't release the D365 license, do we need to delete the user from the system to release license? Thanks & Regards,
AP
I always recommend clients not to delete users but instead disable them in the D365FO application.
This ensures no user related data is lost, while also ensuring that the user no longer counts on the license report.

Hi Nikolaj,
thanks for the information.
I m just looking for answers to my other questions too. I couldn't find those in MS Docs.
Thanks,
Hi Amith,
1. If you delete the user, it will still keep the reference in posted transactions.
2. Once the user is deleted, it will clear out from user info table as well. (Please double check)
3. Disable the user and then there are 02 batch jobs (Automatic role assignment) & (Named user license count reports processing) that you have to run to change the license count. Please check out the below blog (on AX 2012) from Andre, he explained it in detail:
