Non product additions to sales orders to report by customer profitability

Posted on by 5

Hi there,

I am looking for anyone who might be able to help guide me. We currently use AX in a very horrible way- which means just not very wisely. I am trying to move us to use to identify truer customer profitability and margin reporting that would include non product costs as well as product costs. This would eventually morph into a cost to serve model reporting tool. Can anyone help me get started?

We are operating on Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

    Hi smarier,

Do I understand you correctly that you are looking for a BI tool that helps you analyzing costs and revenues of your sales orders/customers/items?

Have you tried making use of the standard BI cubes for AX2012 that include those data?

    Please see: docs.microsoft.com/.../cube-and-kpi-reference-for-microsoft-dynamics-ax-2012-r2-and-r3

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
