Reconcile 2 Bank Statement Lines to 1 Bank Account Ledger Entry

In Business Central 365, I have successfully reconciled two Bank Account Ledger Entries to a single Bank Statement Line. But, I cannot figure out how to do the reverse.

I have 2 Bank Statement Lines:

-$125,000

-$24,876.86

I need to reconcile to a single Bank Account Ledger Entry:

-$149,876.86

When I try to select multiple lines on the Bank Statement side and match manually to the Bank Account Ledger Entry, 365 only reconciles a single Bank Statement Line leaving a remainder.

I'm missing something.

Thank you so much for the post!.  I am going to do a journal that will debit the bank and then do the entries in detail.

    Hi,

One statement line can be matched to more than one bank ledger entry but vice versa is not possible (that is your requirement).

Another (not very appropriate) way to do is to remove these 2 bank statement lines and create one bank statement line instead with sum of those 2. Update Description of new statement line that it is sum of two lines for future reference.

    Regards,

Is the only way to do this to reverse the entries?

That seems strange looking for a work around maybe.

    Thanks!

Reconcile the general ledger balance to the bank balance by subtracting all outstanding checks shown in the ledger but not yet reflected in the bank statement from the bank total. Add any outstanding deposits shown on the ledger but not yet reflected on the bank statement to the bank balance total.

The postings should marry up. That is part of the matching logic. Use the transfer to journal feature for those lines and reverse the existing one so you have the same as the statement.
