Issue with Discount barcode

Two promotions created for the same item with the discount barcodes.

While applying the discount barcode which have less discount value, system applies the discount having larger discount value. That is , system is applying the discount which is beneficial for customer.

However, the system will only apply the discount for which discount barcode is scanned or entered.

Does any one faced the same problem?

Please let us in case if anyone has faced the same issue.

Version used in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 CU8.

    Hi Neeraj,

    If there are 2 promotions for the same item, then the one which is beneficial for the customer will be applied. This again works on the concurrency rule which is defined on the discount.  Now if you have created a discount which is having the discount code required, then again if you scan both the discount code you will get the same result.

    Sumit,

    Even if I scan the discount barcode with the lower discount value, system is applying the discount which is beneficial for customer. I am not scanning the both of the discount codes to get the result.

    Have you checked the discount code required check box for both the discount? If yes, then untill you do not enter the discount code the discount should not apply. Check the discount configiuration.

    I think you have not understood the issue

    Discount codes are checked on both the discounts and it is applying the best value discount for customer even if I scan other type of discount for the same item.

    Can you specify which discount you have setup for the items (Mix and match, discount, quantity discount etc) and also the concurrency rule for them. Attach screenshot if possible. Then can you provide the step by step approach you are following ?

    I just want to know if it is working in your environment?

    It is a Flat discount on Item , lets say Item X

    Discount 1 : 20% Off  (Discount Code : 101)

    Discount 2 : 30% Off (Discount Code : 102)

    While scanning the item, system is not applying the discount. It is only applying the discount when I scan the discount barcode.

    Now, when I scan the discount code 101 on POS, system applies discount specified on Discount Code 102 which is 30% .

    System is only applying the discount with 30% always.

    This is happening in R3 CU8 only and not in R2 CU7.
