Is there any way in NAV 2013 R2 to remove access to certain menus of "Departments?

For example, every users can access to menu "Adminstration" into Departments. In NAV 5 was easy assign (or not) access to these menus but i dond't see the way to do it in NAV 2013 R2.

Thanks in advance.

we cannot assign menu's any longer in NAV2013R2.

We have to remove the whole department and create a new Role with necessary Menu's and Objects in it.

As Mohana said, you can make new Role for it, but this old features is not support any more.

But, if I understand your problem, you afraid because users can access to Administration menu, for example. Why you not assign security roles to them? This will solve your problems.

Yes, but in new role i can't give access to menus only to objects. I`ve tried use the Menusuite permissions and seems don't work.

I know i can do a role without permissions to those objets but are many objetcs (pages) in Administration menu.

I think the menu management with NAV 2013 has gone a step back :(, now is very bad and complicated.

    Hi Domingo,

Review that chapter in MSDN ;-) msdn.microsoft.com/.../hh893421(v=nav.71).aspx

    Good luck!

Thanks Miguel, we know how configure permissions but don't work assigning menusuite, in fact, i've assigned to a user permissions set without menusuite object type and he access without problems to NAV (and he see the last menusuite defined in Object designer).

I insist, in NAV 2013 Microsoft has maked an error with the menu designer and they should resolve.

    Bye

One of the Microsoft Employee has confirmed that assigning menu wont work in RTC and is by design and UI decision for RTC.
