The Knowledge Article table out of the box has several fields with usernames in them such as:
Owner
Owning User
Primary Author Id
Created By
Does anyone know the difference between them? As far as I can tell, the user that creates a new article becomes the Owner, Primary Author id, and Created By name. The Owning User is left blank.
I searched directly in MS support and the metadata/descriptions for Knowledge-centric entities is lacking. The results I found when searching "Primary author" was this which does not provide details needed:
