Hi All,
We would like to open a password window for users to authenticate before opening the inventory adjustments window. Is there any default functionality that can provide this functionality. So when a user tries to open inventory adjustments windows (inventory transactions), it prompts for password once enters correct one, then it should open the window.

Field Level Security (which I created and sold to Microsoft) is part of the core installation.
This should be able to achieve what you need.
If you need more flexible options, then GP Power Tools is the best development tool that required not external development environments now that VBA is "End of Life".

If you only have the requirement as mentioned above you can do it with Field Level Security as mentioned by Mike 2nd option.
Else you can go for Customization or 3rd party tools as mentioned in other replies.

If Field Level Security cannot achieve what you want, then you can add custom code easily with GP Power Tools.

You have several options to restrict access.
1. You can use the normal GP Security and prevent unauthorized access to the window.
2. You can use the "out of the box" Field Level Security module to restrict user access to the window in General. or even add a password.

The current functionality of Microsoft Dynamics GP does not have any user password settings or additional windows specifically for the inventory adjustment window. To get this type of functionality, it would need to be either some type of 3rd party product or customization. What you could do is change security to only allow certain users to have access to this window. Then, only users with access to this window will be allowed to open it and enter/post adjustments.
I will let others reply to this forum with information on any 3rd party products or customization they have used to accomplish this type of need.
