walk through existing CRM application

I dont have much experience on MS CRM applications. 

Currently I am assigned a D365 CRM application for production support. 

I have to walk through the application. From where I start to analyze the application ? Best approach to understand the existing application like what should be I know/understand on priority, etc.. ? Can you pls give me some suggestions on this ?
