Get a full Inventory Report for a specific Warehouse

ReportReport
Posted on by

Hi,

I'm quite new to Microsoft Dynamics AX and I've gotten a task from my manager to create a concept material for how to create and view a full inventory report for a warehouse.

What I need is:
- To get a fully detailed view of all articles that have been counted in the WH during a certain period. (Let's say during 2015)
- Get an overview if the item is currently available inside the WH I've chosen.
- To know how many times the specific item have been counted during the period.
- A column which indicates the deviation in both quantity and in currency.

Basically this is needed because in sweden (and I suppose some other countries as well) there's regulations saying that you need to perform cycle counts on all your item's at least one time/year.

So I need this report badly and I can't seem to get this information out of Dynamics.
Can someone please assist me or point me in the right direction for this?

Thanks a lot in advance!

/Jonas

Stock overview for a given warehouse - Inventory Management -> Reports -> On Hand-> On Hand Inventory -> Select Warehouse View and Select, then filter warehouse for which you need to look at the stock overview. For counting specific details, there is no proper report.  However, you can go to Inventory Management -> Journals -> Item Counting and get the details

    Hi Jonas,

AX also records the count history separately from the count journal, in its own table. You can see it at Inventory management -> Inquiries -> Counting history. The table is called InventCountJour.

You may find it easier to report on this table. When creating Count journal lines, you may have noticed the 'Not counted since' parameter. AX uses this table to work out when Items were last counted.

In fact, you may find that parameter answers your requirement. If you create an empty count journal and go to the count journal lines, click 'Create' -> 'On hand'. Put the date of the start of your counting year into the 'Not counted since' parameter (untick 'Include items with nothing on hand') and run the Create 'On hand' functionality for all items. It will create count journal lines for all items that have not been counted since the date you entered.

Thank you guys for the responses! With your feedback I think I will be able to solve it. I could extract the information from Counting History and using the columns for Counting Date I could compare it to an On Hand balance report.

I have not seen the parameter 'Not counted since'..

Can you tell me more exactly where I find this?

    Thanks!

Create a new count journal and open the 'Lines'. On the lines form, click 'Create' -> 'On hand'. The 'Not counted since' parameter is on the dialogue box that opens.
