We are using forms without update of contacts for contests or request of demo for customers etc.
We add fields on the form that are available on the entity Contact, but we also add some extra fields, in most case dropdowns or open questions (fe In which store did you buy those products? - How many people will answer the contest?)
We create those extra fields by linking via lookup to a custom entity and then filter on a specific type. This works fine, but IT-department has always to intervene to publish new types in the entity. Actually Marketing-department would like to maintain this without IT (in ClickDimensions this was possible). We have sometimes the feeling that we are not doing it the correct way and that there is maybe a more easy way.
