Restrict an Employee to See only his/her own Employment details

Hi Everyone

is there any way to Restrict an Employee to See only his/her own Employment details. Is this solution is available in Dynamics 365 F&O or we need to do customizations/ development for a XDS Role.

Hi,

There is currently no such out-of-the-box functionality, so if you want to limit it, you have to customize the security role.

Hi Ch Motla,

The Employee Self Service (ESS) workspace provides a lot of information for your own worker, but this workspace does not have employment details out of the box. For your requirement, you would need a customization. One of the options is using eXtensible Data Security (XDS) like you mentioned yourself. You can also create a specific page limiting details for the current worker only and link it to the ESS workspace.

Hi All

to implement XDS security role what will be the relation defined between HcmWorker and UserInfo. i Am unable to find the relation between mentioned tables. can anyone from the development side can help out with screenshots.

Hi,

If employee uses the Employee self service workspace under human resource.I think this provides on employee's own view not anything else

The relation defined between HcmWorker and UserInfo isn't direct. There's a DirPersonUser table between them.

hcmWorker.Person = dirPersonUser.PersonParty

dirPersonUser.User = UserInfo.Id
