I would add TESTFIELD for contact name and e-mail address OnQueryClosePage of the customer card action, i have used this previously and it worked well.

You need to have basic technical skills and license for that.

Are you a customer or partner?

Open the development environment, select page 21 customer card, then click design and from the tool bar select C/AL Code or press f9 that will take you to the code if you have license permissions.

You just need to add highlighted two lines on the OnQueryClosePage trigger, since contact name is not editable we ask users to enter primary contact no. which will populate the name.

Please try in your test database if it meets your requirements then apply changes to production.

    Suresh,

What will be the result in below case?

I have created new customer but didn't enter e-mail

moved to previous record which has e-mail filled and closed the page.

We have new customer without e-mail

    Isn't it?

    Mohana,

Good point, i didn't thought about it, I have not tested it but i think we place the same code in OnNextRecord it may work in that scenario.

    Thanks

    Just a thought,

Can we set blocked status for customer when we create any new customer and when user change the block status as none then system should check whether email address is enter in it or not.

    Hi Kulbinder,

Even I have achieved it by setting the Blocked to All, and allowed to change it only if the Contact and Email are filled.

    Best Regards,

    MMV

If you go this route, i would recommend another validation on contact no. and e-mail to always have the value when they change or clear, because once they enter the value, someone can clear those values and forget to enter it again.
