How/Where do I access the FO development environment VMs produced by MS LC Services?

Greetings,

While I have been a MS CRM dev for 10 years, I am fairly new to ERP, specifically FandO. I have been brought on to a project continuing from previous developers in which my client has no contact with now.

I have some tasks requested of me in which I need access to the VM that from what I have researched, is produced through Lifecycle Services and will install an instance of VS on which produces the application object tree that I need access to. I can only imagine that these resources/assets have not been shared with me as I am a new user. This development process is fundamentally different than that of CRM and am having issues pointing to my client where I can access the FO development environments as they have no idea.

Is someone able to point me in the right direction?

Hi Feffrey,

As your dev environment is already provisioned from LCS, you can follow the below article to remote access to your cloud dev VM:

docs.microsoft.com/.../access-instances

For getting used with D365FO, you might refer to:

docs.microsoft.com/.../introduction-visual-studio
