Payment proposal report "halts"

ReportReport

Dear All,

Recently I have run into a problem with the Payment Proposal report CustVendPaymProposal.

The behaviour is very odd so I am having trouble debugging the issue.

This is what happens:
I go to the payment journal lines.

Select print -> payment.
I just select the payment checkbox and print the report to screen.

In 80% of the cases the report "hangs" AX shows the report screen and is responsive but the report keeps loading and never shows result. I need to log in to SQL reporting and kill the running report task.
In the other 20% the report runs just fine. There are no issues with other reports.

There is nothing in the windows, sql or reporting logs. There are no locks occuring on the database.
Furthermore there are no customisations on the report. The enviroment compiles fine. CIl has recently been compiled and WCF has been regererated.  Allso I have redeployed the report several times.

I am running AX 2012 R3 CU8 and SQL 2014 cu5.

Has anyone experienced similair beheviour? Do you have any tips on resolving this issue?

    Hi Rik, I have seen similar behaviour but that was caused some sessions keeping the "temp" table locked even after the report has been rendered to the screen. Are you sure there are no locks on the table when it is "hanging"? Have you tried to do a SQL trace while running the report? Can you see if the process in SQL is maybe suspended?
