Retail items and products not showing up

Hello all,

recently i have came across a problem where i created a new items and then ran process assortment without any errors and then run N-1040 job after that when reviewing download session log it ran successfully without any errors but when i enter any of the item details in POS nothing shows up... i have searched alot for a solution and tried alot of scenarios but no use.

i have Microsoft dynamics ax 2012 R3 CU9 with simple retail POS

    1- add Assortment

    2- Retail > Periodic > Process Assortment

    3- If not resolved, then check following tables on POS DB

    - ax.ECORESPRODUCTS

    -ax.INVENTTABLE

    -ax.INVENTDIM

    -ax.INVENTDIMCOMBINATION

    -ax.INVENTITEMBARCODE

    Hello MarGroup,

    If you have added a field in Retail Tables then there are some tasks to be done as below:

    1. Need to add the fields in Setup > Retail channel schema

    2. Setup>Scheduler sub jobs> transfer field list

    3. Generate classes from Setup > Retail channel schema

    4. Add the field in each POS as well.

    You may ask your technical to do the same.

    we recently made a customization on the InventTable but that for another purpose not retail.. we added a new field so should i update InventTable in channel database too? and what about RetailInventTable we didn't update it also should we update both RetailInventTable on HQ and channel database?

    See if there is any changes in field size properties, for Eg:- If you have extended the EDT of Name, then you need to update the same in POS too, compare the tables of product if there is any change.

    Also to make sure check if you have attached the Store to Assortment and the new product is not excluded in the product list, and Run the Assortment Batch Job.

    Thanks for your replay i checked all your points and everything is OK the language of products is same as store but when i run the query on channel store database i cant find the missing products in ECORESPRODUCT but all the old items is correct and is there.

    Go to Retail Store>Inventory Tab in Ribbon>View channel products, see if the products are showing up in HQ.

    If so, then see the language for the products such as en-us.

    go to store >Edit and change the language same as product master.

    In channel> make query like select *from ecoresproduct to see if you have products in DB, if you have the products and not showing up in POS then sure this is problem in assortments.

    • Check whether  RetailInventTable Is blank.  If it is then there are two contributing factors :

    • N-jobs delete table data and then re-insert all the data using the main data from the AX table.

    •  The Replicate DataAreaID was probably unchecked for a subjob of the N-1040 (Products, prices, and bar codes)

      Since N-jobs delete table data prior to writing, it deletes all of the existing items that were in POS.  This is as expected with N-jobs.  However, after an accidental unchecking of the Replicate DataAreaID for a subjob, the rows in that table are then not inserted into the POS database during the scheduled job. 

      if this is the specific issue  then locate and correct the N-1040 subjob ADDP-InRBO that updates the RetailInventTable. 

           1. Go to Retail > Setup > Retail Scheduler > Scheduler subjob
           2. Select Job Number N-1040.
           3. Under the Subjobs fast tab, find RetailInventTable in the Description field.
           4. Right click on the subjob number and select View Details.
           5. Under the Setup fast tab, checkmark Replicate DataAreaID.
           6. For Field for DataAreaid, select DATAAREAID from the dropdown.
           7. Run the N-1040 job.

      There are  other factors causing items not to show at POS.  (but not limited to) things to check

          - Add items to a published Assortment (Retail > Setup > Assortments) and then run the Assortment Scheduler (Retail > Periodic > Assortment Scheduler)
          - Ensure the subjob is defined by the right job:   Retail Scheduler > Scheduler job > select N-jobnumber > General tab > Subjobs defined by job: N-jobnumber
          - Check the distribution filters for the job:  Retail Scheduler > Scheduler job > select N-1040 > Setup > Distribution filters > Groups should be set to All (set in Retail Scheduler > Setup > Distribution Groups)
          - Check specific tables at POS that are related to the job you are running to see whether any data is coming across.
          - Start or restart the Store Connect service.
          - Check the IncomingMessages and OutgoingMessages tables of your AXRetailMSG databases for connection issues.
          - Check your Retail Store Connect profiles to ensure a proper connection is set

    i tried adding tax to item and changing the name also and the search name but still the N-1040 job runs successfully and i find in the download session that it completed successfully but still does not appear in POS
