At the time of put in the sales order picking process I am getting the below error for the selected location.

"Location 01A01R3S2B failed because the final put location for sales order work must either be a packing station location profile or final shipping location type. Invalid location."

I have checked that the location profile ID has a location type which is mapped to the warehouse management parameters as the shipping location type. However, I am still getting this error.

Any pointers to resolve this issue?

Hi Ankit,

Please note there is a difference between a location profile and location type. The system is checking the Location type linked on the Location profile. Please review if this is really your setup. Can you otherwise include some screenshots of the Location, Location profile and the parameters where the location type is setup as Shipping location type?

Did you work out this issue? I am having the same problem, believe it is a location setup issue but cant seem to get it to work.

At Warehouse management parameters -> General -> Location types -> Final shipping location type, you have specified a location type.

At Warehouse setup -> Locations, find the location you are using as the Put location. Does the location profile of this location have the same location type as the parameter above?

HI Guy,

Was actually Location Stocking Limits. I hadnt setup the stocking limit qty on this particular Put location/location profile in original config.

Hi Sravan,

If you go to Warehouse Management > Warehouse Setup > Locations stocking limits > Make sure the location you are trying to pack to has an amount setup to allow the put process.
