Deleting the Users in the AX

Hi All,

We are deleting the user in AX who are left the organization in the client production AX environment.  But deleting the user in AX makes AX hanging and not able to do this.  We know we can disable the user by unchecking the "enabled" checkbox, but due to client requirement we need to delete the users instead of disabling .

Did anyone faced this issue? Any pointers on this appreciated.

Regarsds,

Ganesh.

check this link for removing users from AX

    technet.microsoft.com/.../aa548648(v=ax.50).aspx

    or

Try using record level security to hide disabled users.

Did you try to debug to see if there's any data or dead lock?

    Hi Ganesh,

I have deleted users multiple times in AX2012. This should not give problems.

can you possibly provide more information or indicate if there are any customizations?

As Andrew mentioned, you can also try to debug. Or have a look at log files on e.g. the AOS or SQL machine.

If the user is a member of another domain that you are not an administrator for, you receive a message that indicates that the user cannot be deleted.

If this happens, click Permissions and change the user’s permission to No access so that the user cannot access any data in the domain.

    Hi Ganesh,

To make the things very simple you can login to SSMS-->AX database-->Navigate to the table "dbo.userinfo", here you delete the row by mentioning the user id.
