SSRS Data Connector

Hi All,

I am installing Dynamics CRM 365 on a Windows 2016 Server, the SQL Server is on another machine which is SQL Server 2014. I have installed Dynamics CRM 2016 and upgraded to 365 however when I go to install SRS Data Connector the dropdown is blank for SSRS. I know there is a workaround to add a couple of things in the registry but under the registry there is no SSRS folder at all.. I have installed SQL Server Data Tools, is there anything else I can check to see what is missing?

Sorry abutler1986 for all questions but i don´t know why you can use SQL 2014 with D365 9.0. Take a look here for D365 requirements

    docs.microsoft.com/.../software-requirements-for-microsoft-dynamics-365-server

That is correct, usually on other servers I see it no problem but on this server I cannot find it anywhere

Sorry, under this path you don´t see the folder?

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\SSRS\

You have installed the SSRS on the SQL Server? On Dynamics Server you tried to install Data Connector? Can you run/ open the report server in Web Browser from the dynamics server via link like serveraddress:port/ReportServer?

    Hi Daniel.

I can indeed open CRM and RSC Tool without any issues. I have tried installing SSRS multiple times, just very odd that the SSRS folder is missing. I have gone through the forum before (actually has helped me with two seperate installs) but this one is different because the SSRS file is missing in the registry

    Hi abutler1986,

can you open Dynamics CRM in Web Browser and can you open the Reporting Service Configuration Tool? Try to install the SSRS again and take a look into the registry if the SSRS Folder available. Before you install the Data Connector you have to configure Reporting Service and configure the registry like community.dynamics.com/.../crm-reporting-extension---ssrs-instance-is-blank from the guy Eugeny M. This worked for me and fixed all issues.

After complete configuration install Data Connector.

    Regards,

    Daniel
