I tried to paste data in Business Central Allocation (Sub Page) in Recurring General Journals.
First, I entered data in the Allocation page under the Recurring General Journals page then copied data from Business Central and pasted it in Microsoft Excel,
Edited data in excel (Changed Allocation% & Amount), copied data from excel then in Business Central Allocations page, I tried to paste it in new line, But System throwing a validation error.
Please can anyone investigate this issue and provide me a solution
You can't paste from excel into this page. The reason for this is that when a new line is created in this page in Business Central the system will automatically assign it a Journal Template Name and Journal Batch Name based on the Recurring Journal Batch you were in. You would have to add these fields to the page and populate them in excel as well, however out of the box that's not possible.
The Journal Template Name and Journal Batch Name fields are populated when the Account No. is selected, so what you could do is populate all your lines with a G/L Account No. -> copy paste to excel -> in excel change your Allocation % or Amount and then paste back into Business Central
