How to check which ledger is looking for short cut dimension 1 while using Adjust exchange rate batch Job?

Posted on by 360

Hi All,

we are currently using NAV 2016 IN version and Set Shortcut dimension 1 has Account type default dimension for GL/ Customer/Vendor/Bank as Code Mandatory.

Now while running the Adjust exchange rate batch job with GL Adjustment option, it throws an error (Select a Dimension value code for Shortcut Dimension 1). but it ran for Sub-ledgers without any issue and also adjustment entries got posted Shortcut dimension wise. But it throws an error while posting with GL option.

Does any one has idea how to solve this?

I had overlooked this link as well. is there any improvement in NAV 2016?

thanks

    Hi there,

Adjust GL would adjust the reporting currency, right? This would affect all G/L entries in the adjustment period (I would assume simply all entries). If one of them doesn't have SC Dim1 this would be enough for an error, IMO. If it is filling the dimension in from the default dimension of the G/L account, what about adjustment gain/loss accounts? Anyway, if the originating entry doesn't have the dimension, the adjustment shouldn't have it, too. It is more a question of how dimension posting is checked in this case to allow for any value (no check).

    with best regards

    Jens

    hi ,

"Select a Dimension value code for Shortcut Dimension 1" this error message means you dont have mention your dimention code on your entries

on your entries go==> choose columns

add your dimention to right side and ok

then on your entries ,,, enter your dimension

if this is not work you can check through debugger
