Async Client can download data but can't upload the data

Hi Everyone,

I would like to ask about communication issue between async client and async server, my topologies using "Multiple Instance of async server and connect to same message database". and the result is, my retail pos via async client can download data, and can transaction like as usual, but no file uploaded by async client to working folder upload via async server.

My testing development until now is working fine, but its just using 1 CDX:Async Server point to 1 message database.

Does anybody know, how exactly the problem occured?

As you mentioned you have multiple Async Clients trying to access same Massage database .See Below Picture.

as per the architecture you should have One Unique Massage Database for each Async client .

I meant Architecture of multiple CDX : Async Server , not async Client. Async Client has unique message database for each store.

Based on this article :

If there are more instance of Async Server, there should be connected to one message Database per Partition.

in my Architecture, i'm used one partition, multiple CDX : Async Server, one HQ Message Database. So, my issue is Async Client can connect to Async Server URL, can download the data, but after we open shift, transaction, etc. Async client unable to send data to HQ, in other words, working folder is empty, HQMessageDatabase also empty.

Hi Hamza,

Have you tried checking in the upload session table if any message record is created.

no log generated in event viewer, both async client or async server machine.

Hi Sumit,

The root cause is working folder path for upload is emtpy, no folder Channel Database generated. so certainly no upload session table generated also.

Verify the permissions on the upload folder and double check the working folder. It should be UNC paths.

Hi Hamzah,

Did you fix this issue? This might be the working folder path in the Retail> Setups as you said here.

Hi All,

After some research and build testing environment of Multiple Instance of CDX : Async Server, finally i already solve this issue.

step that i miss for setup :

1. Re sync metadata in retail > setup > retail scheduler parameter. after install multiple instance Async Server with same message database

2. Restart All instance of Async Server IIS

3. Restart All instance of Async Server (Server Machine).

4. Store data uploaded into working folder.
