Date/Time Lock Function - Service Calls

Hi folks,

I have a client who is inquiring about the use of the checkbox in the screen capture below:

They are looking for history and every time they view the service call it shows the date they viewed the history and not the service history dates. They were hoping this would lock this date. Another colleague believes that this will prevent service calls from rolling forward if they are not answered on the scheduled day. Can anyone clarify this for us?

    I ended up using a SmartList for the information I required.
