Hi all,

I have one query regarding Fixed asset.there are two fixed asset whose aquisition was done in 2013 but disposal done in last year 2017.for Fa1 it shows correct acquisition cost and also shows some disposal cost hence there is impact on general ledger.

For second fixed asset Fa2 it is showing acquisition cost as 0 and even disposal cost is 0 hence no impact on general ledger.

For Fa2 it was showing acquisition cost as 0 and there is entry for revaluation with amount same as acquisition cost in transaction.

Being as technical i have few queries so need to confirm with expert. Here are my questions

1. how it this acquisition cost become zero

2. How to get disposal cost up with acquisition cost, if it is correct.

3. How to settle the ledgers to get impact as asset is aleady sold.

Thanks for your help in advance.

    Hello Shri,

Your questions are difficult to answer without any additional information.

As an example, the acquisition costs might be zero because of a donation or free input of the owner. The revaluation posted supports this guess. Yet, without having more infos about the vouchers created and their origin it remains a guess.

Can you possibly attach some screenshots of the vouchers posted and the originating source of those vouchers?

    Many thanks and best regards

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

I have attached screen shots for FA 1 ( FA with Correct acquisition & disposal cost)

and FA 2 ( FA with incorrect acquistiion & disposal cost) Both assets are disposed in similar way but result is different for both of these.

Kindly help to look into it as it is financial year end.

    Thanks for your help.

    Thanks ,

    Shri

    Hello Shri,

Unfortunately, I cannot see the screenshots.

Can you save them as a file and then upload them via the 'use rich formatting' button that is available right below the textbox?

    Many thanks and best regards,

    Ludwig
