Multiple Number Sequence for Sales Order

Hi, I would like to separate my Sales Order with 2 set of number sequence.

Is it better for me to just add another field to store this separate Sales Order Number or is it possible for me to change the standard Sales Order Number assign behavior?

    Hi - to do this you'll need to customise, and I suggest you look at the functionality provided by the 'Number sequence group' on the Invoice and delivery tab of the Customer. A number sequence group lets you define specific sequences for confirmations, packing slips, and invoices, but not for the sales order itself. So actually, before you do this, check that it's really what you want. I don't actually see any advantage in having more than one number sequence for sales orders, and it can make finding your sales order after you have created it more difficult, because the sales order list grid just shows the largest sales order numbers at any time, and the number sequence group might meet your business requirement.
