Transfer of Fixed Assets within Unit

Posted on by 130

Hi, Friends

Please suggest me how to transfer the Fixed Assets within the Units of a Company.  Can we do this with FA Reclass if yes then how?  And also suggest what to day when we purchase any new fixed assets and we adjusted our old fixed assets adjusted with that through buyback scheme

regards,

Rakesh Gupta

RE: Transfer of Fixed Assets within Unit

It depends how your company Units are organized in the system. If it is just a Department in standard functionality of FA, you can just select a different Department Code on  the Posting tab of the FA card. If you have a dimension for Units, you can change the default dimension settings on the FA card, so all the subsequent depreciation postings will be done with a new dimension value.

When you purchase new fixed asset and selling an old one, you need to create a new FA card for the new FA and purchase that, and separately sell the old FA.

Please refer to additional information on how to manage FAs:
