Updating choices in global option msdynmkt_reason for Contact Point Consent records

Hi - I want to be able to add/edit the choices that are in the global optionset for msdynmkt_reason to include other Opt-in or Opt-out reasons. This seems to be non-customizable. Is there any way to achieve this? I can understand why most of the consent related options seem locked down to protect the overall functionality, but this field seems very information and something that should have different choices based on the client.

My use case is to add some means of capturing "implied consent" which is a valid option in my client scenarios, but there is not way to document this currently. My only alternative that I can think of to work within the options available for Consent Records is to use the Not Set value for consent value to represent implied since the person did not expressly indicate opted in or out.

If anyone knows of a way to provide additional reason choices, I would greatly appreciate it.

    Hi,
The first thing coming to my mind is to create a custom choice set for your specific consent reasons and include that in your comms and processes for reporting. Then you have full control over the values.

Then if you still want/need to benefit from the out of the box provided compliance functionality, you create a workflow to set the values of the out of the box fields based on what the person selected in your custom field.

    Hi,
Currently, there are only 3 options. I think if you put them on non-restrictive, it will allow you to send your communications until the client refuses (beware of GDPR rules). You must let your customer choose with the preference center.
if you want to explain your condition, maybe I can help you more
