Financial dimension validation issue in AX 2012 R3

Hi Folks,

I am facing an issue with financial dimension validation in AX 2012 R3. I am actually trying to post a PO and getting the error
"You must select a value in the cost center field in combination with the following dimension values that are valid
Main Account xxxxxxx
The combination was not validated beyond the CostCenter financial dimension.
Dimension values were validated with this account structure xxxx profit & loss
Posting has been cancelled
An error occurred during update"​

I have done the following validations from my end
1) Validated GL accounting structure. There is mapping for main account and the cost center. The condition is that CostCenter should start with F (i.e. F*)
2) Validated the Purch order and purch line and see the financial dimensions are properly pointing to a cost center starting with "F"

I am not sure if i am missing out any other configurations. Please suggest

    Hello All,

    I was able to resolve the issue. As mentioned earlier, issue was that there was some configuration change happened to account structure after PO has been received, hence when we see the financial distribution it shows only ledger account but not the cost center along with it.

    Resolution :

    1) Navigate to open vendor invoice form (i.e . AP..>Purchase Order -->Select the purchase order --> Click on Invoice tab on Action pane --> Select Invoice in Generate section

    2) In the lines, select the line with the issue --> Click on Financials --> Distribute amounts

    3) Accounting Distributions form will be opened.

    4) For your procurement category line, change the column Ledger account with appropriate mapping as required with your current account structure setup

    5) Now, try to post the invoice (Invoice Tab --> Post.

    6) PO should invoice now.

    Hi Ludwig,

    When i see the subledger voucher form as you mentioned, i see only the main account and the cost center is not tagged to it. i.e . under the column Ledger Account, i see the value as 6xxxxx------.

    This seems to be the issue, can you please suggest how and where to rectify this ?

    Hi Ravi,

    In addition: In the PO invoice form you have a financials register where you can find a subledger journal button.

    Can you open that one to get a preview of the subledger voucher that allows you checking whether a financial dimension is missing.

    Thank you for the reply Andre. There are no charges associated to the order at header or line level.

    Hi Ravi,

    Can you check if the order contains charges on header or line level? If you have a vendor balance account without cost center requirement in the account structure and the ledger account related to the charge on the header actually requires a cost center, the information might be lost. I had seen such issue in the past.
