Hi All,
I am getting following error "User is not authorized to read view WorkflowWorkItemEntity. Request denied." when trying to read data from that entity using api call.
I gave permissions to read/update/write/delete WorkflowWorkItemTable for appropriate roles assigned to user.

Can you explain how this error can be reproduced? What exactly were you doing? Were you opening a form or import/export data?

1) At first, i get the OAuth token of a registered user under the Azure AD, which in our case is a manager.
2) Using this token i tried to access the WorkflowWorkItem entity by ODataProtocal Http Get method as below
https://aos-rts-sf-21454f9d830-prod-westus2.hr.talent.dynamics.com/namespaces/{{instanceId}}/data/WorkflowWorkItems
3) I was getting the exception like user cannot access the WorkFlowWorkItem entity?
What exact roles and permissions are granted to this user besides the manager role? Are there changes in the standard security artifacts?

I gave employee role and system user (default). Standard security artifacts, do you mean Security configuration under the Personnel management?
Can you try to grant (temporary) the system administrator and/or manager role? I don't think the employee role and system user role are sufficient to read this table using Odata.
If you give the system administrator role, it is working fine. But only manager role is not sufficient. Thanks a lot, but is there a way to change the read, write priorities to specific role.
Try to add the Entity as part of the Entity node on a privilege. You can create a new privilege for this or add it using the security configuration on an existing privilege. Then the privilege should be part of the role for this user.
I have same issue in talent. I try to update WorkFlowWorkItem, but i got error like this..
"Write failed for table row of type 'WorkflowWorkItemEntity'. Infolog: Error: insert/update/delete not allowed for entity with ReadOnly = Yes."
note: User have manager and system administrator role also...
Please, Can you help me for solving this..?
Hi Mohan,
If you open this entity using the workflow designer, then you see the Published option is disabled. It means you cannot create, update and delete records using the data management framework.

Thanks for your reply.. We are using Dynamic HR human resource trial environment and their API's for our development. I can't find these type of tap in that portal.
While hitting patch request from postman for change the status of the WorkFlowWorkItem, I am getting above mentioned error. Please correct me if I made mistake.
