How to setup smtp mail Setup in Navision 2016 in a proxy environment

Hi guys,

Am new to Microsoft Dynamics Navision and i need your urgent help here. am trying to setup smtp mail setttings in Navision 2016 so that i can be able to email documents such as payslips through Navision system but am not able since in our network environment we are using a proxy server. does anyone knows how to configure smtp mail setup in an environment that uses a CCproxy server? kindly help.

    Hi jackymn,

    In the NAV front end,

    1.enter smtp mail setup in the search bar.

    2. click on apply office 365 server settings.

    3. enter your email id in the User ID field

    4. and your mail password in the password field

    5.Test your email by clicking Test email set up button.

    Hi Chris,

    Thanks for your prompt reply, in our Network Environment we are not using office 365 server as your answer suggests but our emails are being hosted outside our company and for us to access the emails we either used the webmail or configure the outlook. when configuring the outlook we normally put the proxy server ip to be the pop3 ip and smtp ip. and for us to connect to the internet we have to put the proxy server settings first. thanks

    Does this ccproxy server provide forwarding for smtp, port 25?

    Try to use the smtp settings from outlook.

    Hi Jonathan,

    yes the  ccproxy server provides forwarding for smtp port 25. i have tried putting the smtp settings from outlook but am just getting authentication failed response even though i have used the correct email and password.
