ListPage behavior

Posted on by 115

Hi,

We experience a strange behavior in NAV 2015 with the refresh of the list page.  We need to use the refresh button to refresh the list in the list page (Ex : Sales Invoice List (9301))
after a modification (Post, Delete, etc) to the record on a card page (Page : Sales Invoice (43))

Example :

1. Choose Sales Invoices in the role center (Company/Home/Sales Invoices)
2. Select an Invoice (#1 for example) from the list (Page : Sales Invoice List (9301)) and click to open the invoice (Page : Sales Invoice (43))
3. Post this Invoice (#1) (Page : Sales Invoice (43))
4. Close the Sales Invoice card with the OK Button (Page : Sales Invoice (43))
5. You are back in the Sales Invoice List.  However, you still see the Invoice #1 on the list.  You click on it and you receive the following message (The record that you to open is not available.  The page will close or show the next record.)
6. You go back in the Sales Invoice List again.  You use the refresh button and the Invoice #1 is gone.

In NAV 2009R2, we don't need to press the refresh button to refresh the page (ListPage).
I would like to know if someone face the same behavior with NAV 2015.

Update on this case.  Microsoft has released a fix in NAV 2015 CU 2.

The number is : 361776 List pages do not refresh automatically in the North American version.

With this hotfix, this strange behavior with listpage has been resolved.

I have a look to the forum.  It looks similar to own problem.  Unfortunately, the filter is not the solution for us.  I will keep follow the thread.

I thought about it but it didn't work.  The only workaround I found out is the set the refreshonactivation to true.  It solved the refresh problem.  However, I don't like this option to much because you need to change it on several page and it was built-in in NAV 2009R2.  Also, this property is unsupported for web client.

Yes. This is still there in 2015 version. It is still there till you refresh your page.

check the filters of the sales invoice list and the sales invoice card.
