Export to Excel based on Excel template using DIXF

Dear,

A lot of time I get the question if it is not possible to export to excel using DIXF, but so that the newly created excel (from DIXF) is based on an excel template. (so that certain colors etc are available)

Is this possible and how can you do it if so?

    Yes it is possible.

    Step:

    Create processing group with entity and excel file

    generate mapping

    Create another processing group with source data format type "AX"

    Get staging

    Go to execution history - view staging data - export to file

    please select the  step one processing group and press ok.

    Hi, this is not an answer to my question. The question was if you can export to a predefined excel that is derived from an excel template (so that automatically colors and fonts etc are set). Doing it the way you describe, just gives me a totally new excel that is not based on the excel you enter in the sample (except for the order of fields). This sample excel is only used to make life easier for mapping fields, it is not used at runtime to create the new export-excel.

    Hi Sven,

    As long as I know, that's not posible using DIXF.

    Have you tried using the document management functionality or the Excel Add-In?
