Excel cannot access the file

When am trying to save the excel file through X++ am getting the following error..

Method 'saveAs' in COM object of class '_Workbook' returned error code 0x800A03EC (<unknown>) which means: Microsoft Excel cannot access the file 'C:\CE308000'. There are several possible reasons:

• The file name or path does not exist.

• The file is being used by another program.

• The workbook you are trying to save has the same name as a currently open workbook.

Am using Ax2012, office 2013 version.

Can you guide on this ,

Thanks in advance,

Mani

The error message told you what to check - please do it.

Is the file located on the C-drive in your root? That could possibly the issue. Make sure you are storing the file in a directory with correct access rights.

Verify you are closing the file after reading it. When you dont dont close it, Microsoft Excel tasks running on background can cause you trouble. You can check it with Task Manager.

Error is because you don't have permission to create a file directly on C:\\ drive on your dev machine. Try creating a folder and change the path to that folder in your code. It will work 100%.

If you want to test this out try to manually create a file on your C:\\ drive. It will only give you option of creating folders but not files.

    Thanks,
    Shiva
