Hi Everyone,
We use Dynamics to allocate requests raised by customers against their properties. Our true source for the property information is held in the Property record of D365 and then duplicated in the Addresses record. Is there a way to raise a case against the property filed opposed to the address filed, allowing us to search for the know property ID from our true source?
Thanks,
CEC SME
Hi Leo,
Thanks for getting back to me, I forgot my password so apologises for not responding earlier.
Our true source has been put into the property field of D365 with the relevant property ID, then we had to duplicate the all of these properties into the address field because when creating a case we need to allocate against a property but cases only search addresses in D365. There isn't any field to save the property ID in addresses and you cannot search the property field within the case. Or so I've been told.
I hope this make more sense. its about searching for a property id within the case creation field where its required to a property.
Thanks
Hi Partner,
If you mean you want to search for the property in your true source(property entity) by property ID? Do you want to do this in D365?
And if so, you could add the property ID into the property quick find view column to do this.
If my understanding is not correct, please share more details about your requirement and business logic.
Regards,
Leo
