Hii,

I have prepared a company chart of accounts in excel. I want to upload my chart of accounts directly into D365 without any manual entry. What is the process to upload my chart of accounts to D365?

Also Is there any specific template for this purpose?

Thanks

I have the same question (0)

    Hello Ankit_Finance,

You can use Main account data entity available in Data management to upload the chart of accounts.

You can use below template for this purpose. Once this is filled; go to Data management and click on Import. Select the job name, file type and then select the file you want to upload.

    MAIN-ACCOUNT.xlsx

Otherwise you can first download the same template by clicking on Export. You will get 'download' option. Once the template is downloaded, fill the data and then upload it by using the process as explained above.

Alternatively, you can use Open in excel option available in the "Main accounts" form. Once the excel is generated; fill the data and upload it.

    Kindly check and update us.

    Best regards,

There is an issue when uploading Main Accounts from clean slate.

What you can do is create 1 Main Account first manually in F&O before doing the export and import in Data management or Open in Excel as mentioned by Sourav.

    Hello John Ray Patajo,

This sounds odd! Which version you are using?

I just recently uploaded COA in 10.0.9 PU33 and got no error while uploading chart of accounts in clean UAT environment by using data management.

Appreciate if you kindly highlight the error you got.

    Best regards,
    Sourav Dam

    Hi Ankit Finance,

Do you want to upload the main accounts only or also mapped account categories and other related elements such as company specific findim settings?

Depending on the answer to those questions, the upload process might be slightly different.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hello Ankit_Finance,

Please try by exporting the main account template from data management; fill the data and then upload it. See if this time it works or not.

Also, appreciate if you kindly extend the yellow notification bar to see the complete error message!

    Dear Mr Saurav,

Thanks alot for your efforts in trying to solve the problem, I think there is a problem in the server, which not allowing data import and export. I have sent the case to our consultant, hope they will resolve that.
