Generate New Production Picking After Reporting Error Quantity

Posted on by 105

I could use some guidance in understanding Dynamics functionality after an Error Quantity. The customer would like for reporting an error in production to automatically trigger new production picking in order to produce the item or items which were scrapped. Is this possible in standard D365 F&O (Supply Chain Management)? My instance is version 10.0.4

Is there any impact of reporting an error quantity on a production order beyond allocating the cost to scrap? Where can I see additional materials being consumed as a result of the error?

There is a parameter under Production Control called, “Increase remain qty with error qty”. I’ve tested completing production orders and reporting an error quantity with this setting both on and off but I have not identified its effect. What functionality this setting should drive?

Apologies if this is posted in the wrong Forum. The categories listed under the Supply Chain Management Forum seemed off.

    Hello ,

I know, by this time you have figure out the answer for this question, as it was asked in 2019. But any which way. I found the answer below.

Please refer below MS link, this gives the use of “Increase remain qty with error qty” function. (its useful when you do RAF via Manual creation & Posting via RAF journal)
