Error opening ProjTable form, An Item with same key has already been created

Good day,

I am trying to customize the ProjTable form. When I select create extension in project and try to open the form in my project it says "Cannot open... An item with with the same key has already been created.

Please assist.

Hi,

This error usually means there's already a form extension for ProjTable either in your current project or in a referenced model. Visual Studio doesn’t allow duplicate extensions with the same name.

Try doing the following,

Check if an extension of ProjTable already exists in your project

If yes, open that existing extension and make your changes there

If not, try creating a new extension with a unique name, like ProjTable.CustomExtension etc

This should let you proceed without the duplicate key error.

Hi @TapiwaLouis,

Please check that if there is already extension of ProjTable is available or not. It may by already available which stops you.

Always gives unique suffix or prefix to the customizations/Extensions to reduce such conflicts in future.

Hi TapiwaLouis,

It seems that The Object you are trying to extend that already been extended in same Model,

Try modifying existing Extension in the model or create a new model to implement the new changes that was attempted to made.
