Text field - Search possibility

I am facing with a problem while trying to search in entitie lists or drop down menu
for values inside text fields.

For example i have column description in one entitie and while trying to search on list

all records that have this value in DEscription filed i cant find any records.

I tried using * but also faced with the same problem.

Hi,

That is the itention of search functionality i.e. when you type in something, it search that for the enabled field across all records. What is your expectation? Can you please provide more details in case I have misunderstood this?

Hi Davor ,

If my understanding is correct you are talking about Quick Find in the home entity grid. If yes please note this search is limited to just the record type or entity. Users with the appropriate permissions can also control what fields can be searched in the quick find by modifying the Quick Find View here: Settings > Administration > System Settings > Customization. Simply expand Entities > expand an entity (e.g., Account) > Views > Quick Find Active Accounts > Add Find Columns and select the fields to be included in your Quick Find search results.

I would like to be able to search by text column in lookup field, is this possible?

For example, Product lookup field, i can search by name and code, but i can't search by description of the product.
