Microsoft Nav not connecting to Database server

Hi,

Our Nav server is not connecting to database server

Please advise

    We have tried to restart services. Then we found that database server is not connecting to domain controller. Problem resolved

    Is there in any connectivity or firewall issue?

    Have you tried restarting the service?

    Check the event viewer in both the server and see if you find any error...

    Hi Vishal,

    Today again we are facing same problem.  In the administrator we have checked database service is stopped

    We have two  separate servers Database server and Nav server

    Nav server is not able to connect to database server.

    Please suggest.

    Hi,

    please check the connectivity between Nav & Database server  with the following steps.

    try to ping database server from Nav server.

    try to do telnet required sql port from Nav server to access database on required port.

    Is it your first time configuration?

    If not please share the steps whatever you have taken.

    Hi,

    Please describe the problem in bit detail.

    Was it working before? What is the error?

    Is you server up & running? how about SQL & NAV service, is it STARTED?
