Extending Entity to import custom fields via DMF

Hey folks,

I need to extend the Entity HcmPositionDetailEntity to import a new field at the Table HcmPositionDetail.

I created a simple Enum (NoYes) at the Table HcmPositionDetail and it's Staging Table HcmPositionDetailStaging.

But I cant see the fields in the DMF for this entity - just the standard-fields.

Iam working with AX7 so hopefully someone here knows how to exend Entities in AX7 :)

Greetings

Alex

It is working now... I checked the entity and navigated to "Map staging to target". On this page there is an option "Generate mapping". After this action everything showed up and the import worked like charm :)

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Alex,

I am not sure, I will check it and update if I get anything. Mean time if you create a mapping between source and staging in the "Mapping details" tab and check if you get it in the "mapping visualization" tab.

Yes but nothing changed. There should be a new Field called "FieldEnum1".

I added it in Visual Studio as an Customization.

    edit:

I can see the fields in the table style overview:

Is there any reason why it wont show my new fields in the grafical overview (first picture)?

Have you refreshed the entity list after your changes? If not please do it. You can find it under workspaces-> Data management -> Framework parameters -> Entity settings -> Refresh entity list.
