Power BI missing custom fields from F&O extension table

I have successfully connected to my F&O instance using power BI.  This has been confirmed by creating a simple report and validating the data.
However, I can't see my custom fields (Table extension) in power BI.
 
How can I get my custom fields to show in Power BI?

    If you are connecting via OData (likely) your custom fields will need to be added to the relevant Data Entities in D365.

    Hi,
    You can view similar questions and discussions. ( powerbi - Missing data fields from tables in Power BI - Stack Overflow) In Power BI Desktop, use the Data view to preview the data loaded from F&O and check that the data preview is available. If the custom fields do not exist, there may be a problem with the data import process. And whenever changes are made to a table, table extension, or data source, the database needs to be synchronized before the changes can be applied to the environment.How to synchronize the database in D365 - Top Dynamics (d365topdynamics.com)
