Unable to download source of my own extension with Effective policies issue

HI Experts,

I created an extensions and using it in production environment and it is working as expected.

My issue is about to download my own extension.

Extension Management -> selecting my extension -> Download Source (not greyed) 

Getting this issue: 

"The effective policies for this package do not allow you to download the source code. Contact the extension provider for more information."

Currently i'm working in a new version of the same extension in sandbox env. and i can deploy it with success.

    Hi,

    if the extension belongs to you then please visit the extension in AL code with APP.json file and fine one of the following 

    `"resourceExposurePolicy": {"allowDebugging": <boolean>, "allowDownloadingSource": <boolean>, "includeSourceInSymbolFile": <boolean>}`

    make allowdownladingsource:true

    or find sourcecode: true

    HI Nitin,

    this is exactly the point, i've forgetted to make the allowDownloading source to true. but now I'm in production.

    Does you suggestion means that I have to upload one more time the same extension version ?

    I'm already having too much data depending from the fisrt version.

    Hi,

    yes go to the app and change the version no. And upload it again you would not loss data.

    Hi Nitin,

    Thank you for your reply, but this solution had already been done.

    In my sandbox, i created a new version of this app, and changed the parameter to donwload the source.

    I can download the second version of the app.

    But still not the first one.

    I tried also to unpack the first version .app contained in my second version project in vscode, published it in sandbox, but the results remain the same, with the effective policy issue.

    HI NItin,

    To give you an update. I still could not make the first version app downloadable (from BC) but I could upload the seoncd version without any issue and all is working fine.

    I think I did something wrong in the process, because I'm having now the first and the second version displayed in Extension Management, the first one having "Is Intalled" as "No" and second version as "Yes".

    I really don't figure out if it is expected or not, but I'm investigating that in documentation.
