Multiple Records

Hi there,

We are a service based company and we are required to maintain certain identification numbers. However, whenever one of our clients changes something about the corporate structure, they must be issued a new identification number. We would like to keep a history of these ID numbers. I have created a section on the Account Form as follows:

ID # 1

Date Issued #1

ID #2

Date Issued #2

etc...

Instead of creating a whole list of fields down the page, is there a way where I can create a table instead so that I can keep a running history including date issued and date expired?

I hope I articulated this properly!

Thanks

Trevor

I would recommend creating new entity to maintain this information and creating one-to-many relationship between account and new entity. This way you can add as many identification number you want for an account and show this identification records in subgrid within account record. Even you can customize identification custom entity to add more information

    Hi Chitra,

Thank you for this! Would you be able to guide me in the right direction as to how to create this kind of entity and place it on the Form?

Here are the steps to go about this

    1. Create new entity to hold all the Identification information like date , unique number and any other additional information you need to keep.

    2. Create many-to-One relationship between new entity and account record, in the relationship make sure Field requirement set to Business required

If you look at the above picture i have transaction entity that is custom entity related to Invoice item with many to one relationship .

Once you have step 1 and 2 completed publish the customization and add new sub grid in the account form by customizing the account entity main form. Here i customized Invoice item entity in my example.

Once you have above step completed publish account form and if you go to account record you should see subgrid with Identification entity to add as many you want.

Is there anyway to remove the search box when you hit the + button and go directly to add new record?
