"Request for quotation replies" strange behaviour

Hello,

I have a strange situation, when I want to "Accept" the Quotation request from --> "Procurement and sourcing/Common/Requests for quotations/Request for quotation replies".

When I click "Accept" button the form is opened and everything looks fine, BUT if you close the form and reopen it again there is no line anymore.

I thought maybe, something is wrong with our modifications, but no, it is same on totally clean / Standard Environment.

Does anyone else encounter this problem? Is there any KB? I could not find anything.

From debugging I see that Header is created again and again when you click "Accept" button and the lines table is not updated with ParmId and TableRefId from "new" Header.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Johnny Almeida,

I think this is a standard behaviour in system.

Reason: - System is trying to validate the RFQ line through the "Accept" or "Reject" action at the same time when you click on this tab. But if you close this form without performing any action; system is not able to validate and update the same record next time (without refreshing the form) and showing blank if this is re-opened.

Solution: - Simply "Refresh" the form, select the header line again and click on "Accept". This time you will be able to see the lines.

I don't have AX version available with me. However; this is tested in D365 and below is the result. Screen shots have been taken from D365 for your understanding.

    1) In the RFQ form; clicked on "Compare replies".

    2) Got below form where I selected the header line and clicked in "Accept".

    3) Once clicked; I got below form where lines are showing.

    4) Then I simply select "Esc" tab and close this form without performing any action. Again when I re-open it, no lines are showing!

    5) But at the same time; I got a notification like "Posting Purchase order was not updated".

    6) Then "Refresh" the form. Now select that header line again and click on "Accept". This time, you will see lines here again.

    Hi Johnny,

How do you close the form?

If you click ‘OK’, the RFQ will become a PO and then the form would be empty. If you open the form and do nothing, please show me more details, such as related screenshot and the version you are using.
