How can I create a new legal entity in Business Central?

The second question

How can I copy only the same data of Chart of accounts and Finance module from Main company to the new legal entity?

Hi,

You can copy master data to new company.

Just create a new company and then use Configuration package as discussed in below video.

It's so simple to copy data between companies in database.

New Legal entity

you might need to reference to how to create configuration packages.

I'd suggest you to watch a few videos and practice in a sandbox until feeling comfortable to move the data. Handled incorrectly, it could run into errors or incorrect data import.

New Legal entity

You have to go to the Companies Page and select Create New Company

And select the Create New - No Data option

You can then use configuration packages to export/import master data between your Main entity and your legal entity. You will also have to perform all the required setup in the new legal company as well.
